Website Maintenance Services That Keep WordPress Sites Healthy
Updates tested before they go live, backups you can actually restore, security and uptime watched, and the small fixes that pile up handled every month.

A website is software, and software ages. WordPress core, themes and plugins release updates every week, many of them security fixes. Skip them and the site becomes an easy target. Apply them blindly and sooner or later one update breaks a form, a layout or a checkout. Good WordPress maintenance services sit between those two risks.
My routine is deliberately boring. A fresh backup before any change. Updates applied in a sensible order, with the risky ones tried on a staging copy first. A visual check of key pages and a test of forms and checkout afterwards. If something does break, it is rolled back before anyone notices, and fixed properly afterwards.
Maintenance also covers the things nobody schedules: expiring licences, a database that has grown heavy with revisions and spam, broken links, PHP versions approaching end of life and storage filling up. You receive a short monthly summary of what was done, and you always have someone to email when you need a change.
When it makes sense to call me
- The dashboard shows a long list of pending updates
- You are not sure when the last backup was, or if it works
- An update broke something before and you have avoided them since
- Your developer has moved on and nobody looks after the site
- Small edits wait weeks because there is nobody to do them
- You run a store or booking site where downtime costs money

Why work with me on this
In 2019 I wrote an article on why WordPress updates should never be put off. I still look after sites that clients first hired me for well over a decade ago, and that longevity comes from steady, careful maintenance.
Mihail was referred to me by a mutual associate, Prof. Deltina H., in 2014. Since then he has been instrumental in launching two professional WordPress websites for my consulting practice. Mihail impressed me with his thorough and deep knowledge in all things website development, cyber security, e-commerce, and membership sites. He has a very quick turnaround time, provides timely communication, and is on top of his game in this field.

Questions people ask
What does website maintenance include?
Updates to the CMS, themes and plugins, backups, security scanning, uptime monitoring, database housekeeping, broken link checks and small content changes, with a monthly report.
How much do website maintenance services cost?
Market prices range from about $50 to several hundred dollars a month, depending on the site and how much support is included. See the website maintenance cost guide for sources.
Can you maintain a site you did not build?
Yes. I start with a health check, so we both know the condition of the site before I take responsibility for it.
What is the difference between maintenance and a care plan?
Maintenance is the technical routine. A care plan bundles maintenance with hosting, security, support time and reporting into one monthly arrangement.
