Technical SEO Services, Done by a Developer Who Fixes What He Finds

If Google cannot crawl, render and understand your pages, no amount of content will help. I find the technical problems holding a site back and fix them in the code, the templates and the server.

Technical SEO is the plumbing of search. It decides whether search engines can reach your pages, which version of each page they treat as the real one, how quickly those pages load, and whether they understand what each page is about. When it is broken, the symptoms are confusing: good pages that never rank, the wrong page ranking, traffic that falls after a redesign, or a Search Console report full of warnings nobody understands.

Most technical seo consultants diagnose and then hand the findings to a developer. As a developer myself, I go one step further and implement the fixes. Canonical tags, redirect chains, robots rules, XML sitemaps, hreflang, structured data, JavaScript rendering, internal link architecture and Core Web Vitals are all things I change directly in WordPress, Shopify, static sites and custom builds.

Work starts with a full crawl and a careful read of Search Console, server logs where available, and page speed data from real visitors. Every issue is ranked by its likely effect on traffic, because a site can have hundreds of warnings and only a handful that matter. You see the list, approve the priorities, and I work through them.

When it makes sense to call me

  • Search Console shows many pages "discovered" or "crawled" but not indexed
  • The wrong page ranks for your main keyword
  • Traffic dropped after a redesign, migration or plugin change
  • Your site relies on JavaScript and some content never appears in Google
  • Core Web Vitals are failing on mobile
  • Duplicate versions of pages exist with and without slashes, www or parameters

What you get

  • Crawl and index audit

Every URL checked for status codes, canonicals, noindex, orphan pages and wasted crawl.

  • Site architecture

A cleaner hierarchy and internal link structure so authority flows to the pages that sell.

  • Core Web Vitals

LCP, INP and CLS improved through image, script, font and server changes.

  • Structured data

Schema for your organisation, services, products, articles, FAQs and breadcrumbs, validated.

  • Redirects and duplicates

Redirect chains collapsed, duplicate URLs consolidated, parameters handled.

  • Monitoring

Search Console alerts and periodic crawls so new problems are caught early.

How it works

  1. CrawlFull crawl, Search Console and analytics review, plus real-user speed data.
  2. PrioritiseA ranked fix list by likely traffic impact, with effort estimates.
  3. FixChanges made on staging, tested, then deployed to the live site.
  4. ValidateSearch Console validation, recrawl and before-and-after comparison.

Why work with me on this

I completed technical SEO training with Blue Arrow Academy and Semrush and web performance training with Catchpoint in 2022, but most of what I know comes from twenty-plus years of fixing real sites. Tools find symptoms; experience tells you which ones matter.

Questions people ask

What is included in technical SEO?

Crawling and indexing, site architecture, page speed and Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, structured data, redirects, canonical tags, sitemaps, robots rules and security (HTTPS).

How is technical SEO different from on-page SEO?

On-page SEO is about the content and keywords on each page. Technical SEO is about whether search engines can access, render and understand those pages in the first place.

Do I need technical SEO if my site is on WordPress?

Often, yes. WordPress handles the basics, but themes, plugins and builders regularly create duplicate pages, slow scripts and indexing problems.

Can you fix the problems or only find them?

Both. Finding issues is half the job; I implement the fixes myself in the site, which is why clients hire a developer for technical SEO. A free technical SEO checklist is also available.
