What to expect from the first call to long after launch.
Free review
We start with a 20 to 30 minute call. Before it, I look at your current website, how it performs in search and what competitors are doing, so the conversation is about your situation rather than a generic pitch.
Written proposal and fixed quote
You receive a short proposal: what I will do, what I will not, how long it takes and a fixed price. If something is uncertain, the proposal says so and explains how we will decide.
Discovery and planning
For build projects, we agree the sitemap, the keyword for each page and the content plan. For SEO, security or hosting projects, we agree priorities from the audit.
Build or fix, on staging
Work happens on a private copy of your site, never the live one. You review progress at agreed points, and two rounds of design changes are included on new websites.
Launch
Changes go live at a quiet time, with a fresh backup first. I check forms, tracking, redirects, speed and Search Console immediately after.
Look after it
You can run the site yourself, with training and documentation, or I can host, maintain, secure and improve it on a monthly care plan.
What I ask of you
- A clear point of contact who can make decisions
- Access to your website, hosting and Google accounts (I explain exactly what and why)
- Content, photos and feedback within the agreed time
- Honest feedback, early, if something is not right
What you can count on
- A reply within one business day
- Work done by me, not handed to a subcontractor without telling you
- Backups before any significant change
- You own your site, domain and accounts
- No long contracts on ongoing services
